Filing a Notice of Infringement

The fastest way to report is our online form: Report copyright infringement. Every listing, storefront and review also has a report link that fills in the details for you. You can also send a written notice to our Copyright Agent that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature (or that of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner).
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough information for us to locate it (for example, the listing URL).
  4. Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

When we receive a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the material and notify the user who posted it.

Counter-Notification

If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to our Copyright Agent that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which Tanoooki may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action.

Repeat Infringers

Tanoooki will, in appropriate circumstances, suspend or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

Notice to Canadian Users

For users in Canada, Tanoooki also follows the notice-and-notice requirements of the Copyright Act (Canada) and will forward qualifying notices of claimed infringement to the relevant user.

Misrepresentations

Please note that anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notification may be liable for damages.
